About Korea Voluntary Emission Reduction Project?

  Based on the Ministry of Knowledge Economy-announced ‘Regulation on GHG Emission Reduction Project Registration & Management’, the project promoted by a place of business for the purpose of reducing or removing GHG is allowed to be registered with the registry of the Korea Energy Management Corporation, and the the Registry acknowledges the reduced emissions by the registered company as the relevant company’s credit in order to revitalize companies’ voluntary GHG emission reduction.

Project for participation object

  The business whose GHG emissions reduction estimated quantity is more than 100t on the basis of carbon dioxide equivalent belongs to the participation object and its detailed business field is as follows:

  - Business through Energy Utilization Efficiency Rationalization
  - Business which develops New Renewable Energy
  - Business which is acknowledged by the government
